1973

John and I were going to see The Heartbreak Kid but the
roads were too icy. Didn't see him at all. Mad.

1976

Dinner at Pizza Connection with Anita. Party on
Hanover. Left to go to Doug's party with Marianne.

1977

There was a note from Boo in my mailbox. Went to the
opening of the Dali Jewels at the Virginia Museum with Mark, etc.

1978

David took me to dinner at Joe's Inn. We walked
there. Freezing.

1979

David and Earl bought a half dozen roses. I got three
and Cary got three. It was sweet.

1980

Planned to see the Bullets at Hard Times but we were
late and couldn't get in. Jill read my cards.

1981

Saw Altered States. Oyster dinner. To Richard Larimer's party with David and Robert.

1982

At Wintergreen. Dinner at the Coppermine with Daddy,
Susan, Sharon and David.

1983

Went to see Tony Cokes, Mike Jones and Tom Carson's
films and tapes. To Tom and Pam's. Rebby there. David and I ate at Joe's.

1984

Peter came to get the Fleshtones photos for Throttle.
David and I had dinner at Joe's.

1985

David gave me yellow tulips. We ate at Joe's.
Carla and Ned came over.

1986

David and I walked in the snow to Puzzles for dinner.
Lots of friends there. Delicious salmon.

1987

Went to Sue and Joe's wedding at St. Paul's.
Fun reception at place in Church Hill.

1988

David and I saw Moonstruck. Ate at the Mexicana Cafe.

1989

David gave me flower seeds. Dinner at Shiroi Hana.

1990

We went to the Mosque to see David Copperfield.

1991

David out of town. Ruth came over. Pizza and beer.
Good talk.

1992

Ruth came over. Pizza and beer. Rented Sammy and Rosie Get Laid. David was in Louisville.

1993

We came back from Petersburg. Ate at the Peking.

1994

David gave me 6 roses. Dinner at Beauregard's.

1995

Dinner at Chopstix with David. I bought him a Bill's
BBQ pie. He gave me a book of Renoir postcards.

1996

Everyone was festive at work. I got lots of valentines and candy.
Bought D. a chocolate pie from Bill's BBQ. He bought me tulips.
We saw The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life... at the Barksdale.

1997

Got a dozen roses from David and a carnation from Mitzie.
David & I ate at Joe's. Very nice time.
Had red wine in a bottle -- the first time they offered it there.

1998

Drove to Farmville to see Willie Anne's show.
Lunch at the Daily Grind. Greenfront Furniture.
Loved the rugs. To Tim & Helen's.
Saw their Japanese doll collection. Dinner at Saigon.
Saw I Am A Man, the play at VCU.

1999

Bought David a chocolate pie at Bill's BBQ.
Wine at Cindy's. Dinner at Hill Café. Got in a huge fight there.

2000

Took the day off to scan and Photoshop toothbrush posters.
Not discouraged but a little baffled.
After Photoshop class David took me to dinner at the Athens.
He gave me roses, astors, and lilies from Tom French.

2001

I gave out 3-d, fool-the-eye Valentines at work.
David sent me beautiful flowers from Tom French.
We made polenta and crab cakes from Macaria's recipe.
I gave David some new garden snippers. Lots of white wine.
